Club Tigres accept invitation from adidas to visit global headquarters in Germany
A group of Club Tigres representatives including President Mauricio Culebro, CEMEX Director Fernando Schwartz and VP of Operations and Marketing Carlos Valenzuela visited the Adidas Headquarters in Germany to meet with CEO Bjørn Gulden, executives of the Football Business Unit and learn about the stunning innovations taking place in the Herzogenaurach facilities.
A commercial partner for Adidas since 2006, Club Tigres took the trip to northeast Germany to take a closer look at the Adidas Innovation Lab, getting a firsthand look at the product tests and studies being done for the latest and upcoming balls, footwear and clothing. Future clothing designs were reviewed and future plans between the brand and the Club were worked on.
The delegation also visited the Department of Athletes Services, where all products for high-performance athletes are made, as well as the ‘adidas archive,’ home to the famous interchangeable cleats used by the German team in the 1954 World Cup.
Other people present during the visit include Günter Weigl, current SVP of Global Sports Marketing and Brand Partners, and Carlos Campos, VP of Global Sports Marketing Football. And for the adidas Mexico team, Pablo Cavallaro, current Senior Director of Marketing, and Andrés Labán, Director of Sports Marketing.
