As part of our alliance with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumers Products and DC, we held the first edition of the Amazonas 2023 Race in the Circuito Universidad facilities surrounding our house, the Volcán.

More than 1,100 competitors of all ages participated in the 1 and 5 kilometers categories in a joyful atmosphere inspired by the female empowerment Wonder Woman represents.

This partnership between Tigres Femenil and Wonder Woman seeks to promote the values that both share: courage, effort, and companionship. The commitment also includes other actions such as a line of exclusive Wonder Woman products with Tigres, social responsibility activities and many more surprises that will be part of this partnership.

From early on, families arrived wearing the special Race shirt. Others wore their Tigres jerseys, and many women and girls dressed as Wonder Woman and other characters who created a colorful route.

The 5-kilometer edition started at 8:00 AM. Daniel Tomas won the men’s category with a great time of 16 minutes and 40 seconds; in second place came his brother José Gregorio Tomas, with 16 minutes and 56 seconds, and the third was Gilberto Álvarez, with 18 minutes and 17 seconds.

The winner in the women’s category was Jannie Santacruz, with 20 minutes and nine seconds; second place went to Estela Chavez, with 21 minutes and 11 seconds, and third place went to Damaris Treviño 21 minutes and 39 seconds”.

The excitement was high in the 1K competition, which started after 9:00 AM, especially among the children. We also ensured our race was inclusive, welcoming everyone who wanted to participate. We received participants who were in a wheelchair and driven by their parents or, in the case of Alerli Martínez, who, through her impulse and character, reached the finish line with a huge smile and an arm up as a sign of triumph and the power that an Amazona has.

In this category, Tadeo Taiva Díaz won an international flight with Viva Aerobús, sponsor of Tigres and the Race. The second place went to Marley Aguilar Pérez, and in the third position, there was a tie between Jorge Luis Martínez and Marlón Patricio Sánchez.

Soon there will be many more things and collaborations with Warner that will surely surprise all the Incomparables. We want to continue to inspire young girls and boys through a partnership that celebrates women’s contribution to our society. That is the power of Wonder Woman and the Amazonas.
