CLUB TIGRES and Equity and Inclusion

At Club Tigres, we aim to create safe environments where diversity and inclusion are experienced both on and off the field. We want that through football, all people, regardless of their gender, race, condition, religion, or any situation that could be considered discriminatory, can find in Tigres a safe space for community, interaction, and celebration.

Inclusive Football

We are pioneers in promoting a more inclusive approach to football

At Club Tigres, we believe in the power of sport to change lives. Football is more than just a game; it is a universal language that brings people together, fosters teamwork, builds confidence, and inspires dreams.

This belief is the foundation of our commitment to inclusion and our determination to ensure that everyone, regardless of their abilities, has the opportunity to experience the joy of playing football.

Let’s change the score in favor of gender equity and inclusive football

One of the areas we are working on through programs and policies is equity. In a sector where women are a minority and gender inequality exists, we believe that our contribution and example can be very important. This is why we will begin to monitor and track our progress towards a more equitable environment for women at Club Tigres.

Inclusive sports environments

At Club Tigres, we aim to create safe environments where diversity and inclusion are experienced both on and off the field. We want that through football, all people, regardless of their gender, race, condition, religion, or any situation that could be considered discriminatory, can find in Tigres a safe space for community, interaction, and celebration.

Tigres Powerchair

Tigres Powerchair is proudly the first adapted powerchair football team in Mexico, where any child, young person, or adult with a mobility impairment can be part of this exciting sport.

The sport is played on a hardwood court, where athletes compete using high-performance “strike force” chairs that bring an unmatched level of dynamism to the game. It is a global sport with three confederations, recognized by FIPFA.

The Tigres Powerchair team has stood out for its determination and commitment, competing at both national and international levels.

Tigres Unión

Tigres Unión is our official team for individuals with intellectual disabilities and neurodivergence. They train twice a week and play on a 7×7 field. They compete locally and nationally against other official Mexican football teams and civil associations.

It is a team where players can express themselves, develop their skills, and, most importantly, have fun. This team is not just about playing football; it’s about building a community, creating lasting friendships, and promoting a sense of belonging.

Our team’s journey began on March 21, 2022 (World Down Syndrome Day), and since then, we’ve witnessed incredible growth and success. Our players have shown remarkable resilience, dedication, and passion for the sport. They train hard, compete with heart, and never fail to inspire us with their spirit and determination.

Ellas tienen el balón

Inspired by the Amazonas of Tigres Women, the social program ‘Ellas Tienen el Balón’ aims to develop 100 women’s football teams in Mexico each year.

Our passion is everywhere
