With Social Impact being one of the strategic pillars in our vision for 2026, we aim to inspire others to live with determination and fight every day, convinced that through our effort and passion, we can create more opportunities and a better future for all.
Our Purpose
To inspire through football for better education and a better quality of life in our community by promoting socially valuable programs that create a positive impact on families and communities, living the values we uphold as a Club.

Tigres Foundation
Created in 2014, acts as the social arm of the Tigres UANL Football Club. Through it, the foundation implements various social responsibility initiatives, aiming to be a national leader in social innovation within the sports sector.
The foundation’s strategy is aligned with the club’s purpose and values, taking into account the context and social challenges of the local community. It is organized into three main pillars, where it focuses its initiatives, campaigns, programs, and social activations.

Leaders in social innovation
We are the first and only football team in Mexico to have achieved:
- Obtain the ESR (Socially Responsible Company) Distinction from CEMEFI for 17 consecutive years.
- Eradicate the homophobic chant from its Stadium.
- Train internationally to include the LGBTQ+ community in the stadium and in football.
- Adhere to the United Nations Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs).
- Having two inclusive football teams: Tigres Powerchair and Tigres Unión.
- Become a Zero Waste Stadium
- To have the first nursing booth in a stadium.
- Winning the Best Social Responsibility Campaign in LATAM awarded by the Sportz Biz Awards in 2021.
- Winning the 'Social Leaders Awards LATAM 2022' awarded by the Global School for Social Leaders, the most recognized awards for social change agents in Central Europe.
- Having an ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) strategy.
We are aligned with the global goals of the UN
The main social impact actions of Club Tigres primarily support the fulfillment of these four goals promoted by the United Nations in its 2030 Agenda.
Since its inception, the Tigres for Children program has benefited 150,000 boys and girls by promoting physical activity and preventing diseases such as diabetes.

Since 2014, we have awarded more than 4,200 scholarships to university students.
Our social investment in education reached 7 million pesos in the 2021-22 period.
Our Powerchair team promotes the integration of individuals with motor disabilities into the sports world.
Through our Tigres Unión team, we facilitate the socialization of 15 young people with intellectual disabilities.
All our initiatives are carried out through collaborations and multisectoral partnerships with both national and international stakeholders.
Certifications and Recognitions
Proudly, Club Tigres stands out as a leader in social responsibility, thanks to the participation of its collaborators, the community, and its unmatched fanbase.
We are the first Mexican football team to achieve the “Socially Responsible Company” distinction from the Mexican Center for Philanthropy (CEMEFI). We have held this certification for 14 consecutive years.
Since 2017, we have been part of the Charter for Compassion, Monterrey Chapter, where we carry out actions that help raise levels of compassion and empathy in our state. In 2018, Club Tigres was recognized as an Example of Social Transformation for being the only football team in Mexico to eradicate the homophobic chant at Tigres’ home matches, thanks to the support of our incomparable fans.
In 2021, we were recognized by the Sportbiz Awards LATAM as winners in the Sport Properties category for the best Social Responsibility campaign in LATAM with our health program “Unidos Contra el Covid” (United Against Covid). Through this initiative, we distributed more than 1.2 million reusable face masks to the most vulnerable sectors in Nuevo León and over 13 cities across the country.
In 2022, we were honored with the Latin American Social Leader Award by The Global School of Social Leaders in Vienna, Austria. We were recognized as one of the 30 social organizations in Latin America making significant contributions to the goals set by the United Nations, solidifying our position as leaders in Social Innovation.
