Tigres Femenil participates in the DMI Decididas Summit

Tigres Femenil is not only a soccer team

The fact that Tigres Femenil is present at events of this nature reiterates the commitment of the team to be an active agent in the search for an inclusive and equitable society.
  • The event hosted 300 participants from 10 different countries. Our coach, players, and the Marketing area of the Club shared experiences that they have developed within football for the benefit of equity and gender equality.

Tigres Femenil is not only a soccer team. It is also a platform that seeks to generate a social impact on women, where inclusion and equity reflect their DNA.

That commitment led us to participate in the DMI Decididas Summit forum that was held in Mexico City on February 28 and March 1, with our coach, Carmelina Moscato, the players Stephany Mayor and Bianca Sierra, in addition to the Marketing Manager of the Club, Miguel Hernández, all as speakers at the event.

DMI Decididas Summit was an effort that brought together leaders and agents of change focused on taking action to contribute to the construction of equity, prevent and eradicate gender-based violence, combat discrimination, and generate the necessary tools to strengthen the economic power of women, and develop more significant opportunities for growth.

Sierra and Mayor, Tigres Femenil and National Teams players, were interviewed on the main stage by the author and content creator Romina Sacre under the theme: “Beyond uncertainty.”

Both were able to talk about their experience in a sports industry that until a few years ago was considered exclusive for men and shared with the more than 300 participants and speakers from 10 different countries their struggle to open the doors of football for them and for hundreds of women who today already practice this sport professionally.

Our coach also had the opportunity to lead a conversation with the Club’s Marketing Manager to share how Tigres Femenil has become the most successful case of women’s soccer in Mexico, both on and off the field.

Carmelina talked about her experiences and steps with an institution that has bet on its women’s project since day one.

The fact that Tigres Femenil is present at events of this nature reiterates the commitment of the team to be an active agent in the search for an inclusive and equitable society.
