Tigres joins the EARTH DAY movement and launches a commemorative jersey in conjunction with adidas

Earth Day has been commemorated since 1970

With the launch of this jersey, Club Tigres reiterates its commitment to the environment

Today, Tigres is the first Mexican team to join the global movement to decrease plastic use. Together with our business partner, adidas, we present the new Kit Earth Day line today to give a powerful message in defense of ecology.

Earth Day has been commemorated since 1970 and was born as a result of the high plastic pollution in the world. Estimates say that plastic is 99% manufactured with fossil fuels and that 91% of that product is not recycled and goes to landfills or directly to the ocean, generating a significant pollution problem in the marine mantles.

As part of Earth Day, which is celebrated on March 22, Club Tigres joins Major League Soccer teams in the United States, which are also sponsored by adidas, to honor the Earth and its natural resources, by officially launching a uniform made of high-performance recyclable materials called Primeblue and using Parley Ocean Plastic™ technology.

Tigres will premiere the Earth Day Kit on April 20 at home when we receive Puebla. The team will go out on the field carrying a banner with the legend ‘End Plastic Waste’; We invite fans to bring as many PET containers as possible to recycle them in support of our business partner, Continental Ark.

Fans who respond to this invitation will be able to participate in an activity that will take place in the stadium. It will allow them to win one of our five Earth Day jerseys. In addition, we want to ask them to bring some of the commemorative Tigres plastic cups they have to reduce the use of this product for a day.

The Incomparables who wish to purchase any of the limited edition adidas jerseys commemorating this initiative can find them at TigreTienda and www.TigreTienda.com.

With the launch of this jersey, Club Tigres reiterates its commitment to the environment and adds this initiative to the Zero Waste campaign that is currently developing in collaboration with CEMEX, which has led us to co-process about 141 tons of waste in the last 12 months thanks to the collection of containers carried out at the end of each game and to avoid 210.76 tons of CO2 generation.

It is time to raise awareness and join efforts to save our planet.
