Tigres announces the launch of English-language social media channels on Twitter and Instagram
The social media accounts will help strengthen Tigres’ connection with their English-speaking fanbase both in the US and abroad: @ClubTigresEN on Twitter and Instagram.
The Incomparables will now be able to follow the English language accounts where they will be able to get information straight from the club about both the men’s and women’s teams. The accounts will also serve as a place to find community with fans from around the world.
Mauricio Culebro Galván, President of Tigres, spoke about the new accounts, furthering Tigres’ commitment to building a truly global brand: “For Club Tigres, it is very important to be able to approach our fans in the United States and the rest of the world with our social media accounts in English. We want to speak to them directly, without limitations, in compliance with our strategic plan 2022-2026 to take our brand to more and more places and make the name of Tigres transcend.”
Tigres boasts several players who are from or played in English-speaking countries, including Liga MX Femenil 2022 Apertura Golden Boot winner Mia Fishel and Mexican Women’s National Team standouts Bianca Sierra, Anika Rodríguez, María Sánchez, and Maricarmen Reyes. Tigres as an institution has a long history of playing teams with English-speaking populations, most notably teams from the United States and Canada in Concacaf Champions League and Leagues Cup play and friendly matches for both men’s and women’s teams.
The accounts will also feature personalized stories highlighting the very fans and team members that are part of the bilingual Tigres family we know and love. Those stories will be posted on the accounts within the coming weeks.
