Club Tigres was given the distinct honor of announcing the 188th pick for the Houston Texans in the 2024 NFL Draft from Mexican’s soccer most passionate location: our legendary Estadio Universitario better known as The Volcan.

To give this honor an extra splash of personalization, Club Tigres decided to gift long-time fan and Texas native Édgar Martínez, 30, the responsibility of announcing Houston’s pick, linebacker from the University of Oregon, Jamal Hill.

As part of Club Tigres’ ongoing commitment to connecting with its US fanbase, Martínez was joined by the Tigers mascot and a group of Texans fans who live in Nuevo León that often gather to watch their team’s games.

The relationship between the Texans and Tigres led to our team announcing the selection of the sixth round of the NFL Draft, and we wish Houston and Jamal great success on during the upcoming season and beyond.
