Tigres PowerChair continues to conquer hearts and not only fights on the court to defeat its rivals, now it will also compete for an award at the 45th annual Sports Emmy Awards ceremony.

The Sports Emmy Awards Gala will be held in New York on May 21^st and Tigres PowerChair will compete in the Featured Story category (Spanish-Language), thanks to a piece prepared by Univisión | TUDN under the executive production of Claudia Montero, during last year’s Ballon d’Or ceremony where Club Tigres received an award for their community service project.

During the Ballon D’or, Alberto García, better known as DJ Beto and a member of our inclusivity team, shared his life story alongside his teammates. Garcia also joined Club Tigres captain Guido Pizarro on stage during the Ballon D’or ceremony to present the nominees for the Liga MX Offensive Midfielder of the Year.

The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, known by its acronym in English as NATAS, announced the nominees in 46 categories on April 9th. Tigres will compete against three ESPN Deportes features and one more from Mundo NFL. The Sports Emmys are one of the most recognized television awards in the United States of America.

NATAS recognizes excellence in television with coveted Emmy Awards in areas such as news and documentaries, sports, programming, and creative arts, as well as achievements in television technology and engineering.
